Be Suspicious!

Scams are everywhere. From phone calls to emails to social media posts, and even texts. If it asks for money or your social security number and is from an unexpected source, it’s likely a scam. Trust your gut — if you’re not sure, ask three friends before sending money or giving up your personal information. Recently, we received a text from “Chase” with a link that led to a very real looking site asking us to log in. Yep, it was a scam. The FTC has many great resources about how to recognize a scam and a catalog of common scams. If you’re seeing red flags, Google it and find more information before you send your hard-earned money.
