As we reach the end of May and Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re celebrating by taking it back to the roots of YDST founder Dayna Steele. Music has been shown to improve cognitive performance, reduce stress, create better sleep, manage pain, and more. We’ve all found ourselves listening to down-beat songs when we’re feeling sad or pumping the jams when we’re working out. It doesn’t come as much of a surprise that music can have a strong psychological effect. Right now, we’ve been enjoying Lucy Spraggan’s new album Today Was a Good Day, which also happens to be about mental health.
