Check Your Passport
March 25, 2019
With many planning summer travel, just a friendly reminder that your passport basically expires six months before the expiration date. Go figure. Here is a better explanation from The Points Guy:
To be safe, verify that your passport is valid for at least six months after your intended return date — if the expiration date is uncomfortably close to the cutoff, make sure you renew it way ahead of time. Unfortunately, this is something airlines will rarely mention, even when you’re booking, so consider yourself warned.
We had a friend headed to Germany for vacation turned away at the airport last week – his passport expires this summer. He was able to get his passport renewed within 24 hours using a very expensive service. Save yourself some money – check your passport expiration date now.
Traveling soon? Try Airbnb. We use it all the time, choosing Superhosts – those hosts with good ratings, real reviews, and earned status. We even rented just a room (usually do the whole place) in London recently and now have a lifelong friend in that Superhost. #affiliate
